Small tips for a narcoleptic

Category: General - admin @ 0:00

Hello to the many who collaborate. Someday I would like to mention, although there are nearly 700 Face and would be difficult to do one.

In two years we move a lot. If a disease little known and misunderstood, and you notice that a little more is understood.

I still support the definitions that give more of a neurological disorder such as Gelineau syndrome, lack of orexin, autoimmune disease (in discussion)

It is mentioned as within diseases "rare" and still say it is not. Little known because no published neuroscience at the grassroots level and that's too much data when they are mistaken: patients, relatives and some doctors who know not consider it rare.

The narcoleptic population is low in the medical records and that makes not much moved in research.

We must never forget that not only is a dream, has other edges that sometimes life more complicated than simply having fragmented sleep at night and sleep times in the day. Obviously, if you woke up 6 times, you had paralysis, hallucinations and nightmares, your watch is not optimal, I would say this is amazing ....

A good night's sleep of 8 hours without waking, good oxygenation at night and relaxation exercises help a lot. Respect for sleep and wake times as well.

But not all.

We take Modafinil? Xyrem? We must make periodic checks of the heart and whether there are arrhythmias.

We take other medications? A liver function ensures that we are assimilating well and healthy liver as they are years of ingesting drugs

The long-term prognosis. We laboratory studies tell us where we are going in time.

Controlling symptoms of anxiety or depression that may be caused by medication and having a chronic, a kind of backpack that we must learn to lead.

And it's all for today, I invite you as always participate in the Forum and so we are enriched by the experience.

In the post often repeat phrases, is not the fault of memory but it is good to reinforce what we know as we await the rest learn

My love and gratitude to the Sleeping Beauties Beautiful and who maintain the rights of patients.

Hi Bella! As a faithful follower worship, and assumed narcoleptic, I also bring some of "my tricks" when it comes to living day by day. For example, I discovered, much to my regret, it's not good to eat chocolate before bed because it is a stimulant that will leave you with eyes like two fried eggs and not going to let you sleep at a stretch. This, not I fulfill to the letter because I love to eat chocolate when I read in bed. And so I will ... but not screaming skull. Another important thing, instead of watching TV, reading a book, because it helps you relax. So to avoid the temptation of the idiot box is better out of the room. At the time of attacks of sleep and yawn, that grab me when I drive, a gum works wonders, who knows a why. And if the dream is terrrrible, with a nap of no more than half an hour, we are like almost new. Manage breathing and relaxation at bedtime also serves, and if we use up a few drops of lavender in the little hell (that little thing with a candle used for aromatherapy), waaaaay better. And finally, as were saying, in your entry, getting in and out regularly, helps the body control its internal clock. in my case is 10 hours, but do not panic, I have assumed that this is my daily quota of sleep, and I am not ashamed of what I need. Less is bad. Although the fact that they are 10 hours not mean they are all deep and pleasant sleep. That, or the rivotril is achieved. Oh, do not forget that stress is the bad guy, so, to take everything with soda ... Well, that's all folks. And if you want to learn how the technology "could" give a hand to the hour of sleep, look at my blog with the info of a gizmo that would have to prove. Kisses to you all and especially Bella and persevering woman. Nana http://lacalesita.wordpress.com/

Hi Nana! my dear, and I left the comment in your blog. I agree with you on many other things that you say, for example the room, room or place in which one places his bed. Clear as much as possible of electronic devices. TV is whoooole a roll, I confess that I let on and no volume, skip the voice of Tinelli, kills neurons. A pleasant aroma, a shower before bed, a book, little or no chocolate, coffee, mate. In this case choose one of those things and two hours before bedtime. If penses sleep at 12, at 22 was completed on coffee ...... Sure, if you're half depression, eating a rich chocolate but do not complain if the night is broken. 10 hours?? why are you sleeping? I envy you, yes, I tell you just like that. My dream is broken and if I get to 8 and is something several times, from 1 am until .... the amount is met. The circadian rhythm, we sleep to wake up at 9/9.30 12/12.30 and make a couple of naps of 20 '. Hopefully we achieve beyond working hours. A hug to all and special greetings to you. Always comforting your contributions, for your humor and seriousness to the subject. Yes, you can do both. :)

From nothing, we are here for that, disseminating and sharing. Do not feel alone every day more people are diagnosed and is not to be happy, sure, but comes to light something that was a myth born of ignorance or denial. A greeting!

Hello, I'm glad that I have no enferemdad I can let loose and fall as a cucumber, because sometimes I try not to sleep, talking or moving, but when I do not get too deep. Sometimes I have to sleep on the table, while my family ate and it scares me enough, or that I spent driving the car. But since I go to a spa and relax more, and tried to sleep at least 8 hours seems to go better. A hug from ANTARES

  7. Plains says:

Sorry, I'm the one before, but if there is any diet, or a change of habits that can improve the problem I would love to know. For me I have enough with other pathologies that led to slopes. A big hug. ANTARES

Hi Antares, to each one works a little different but there is a basic, the naps in the day. When you can, even if you take medication to take a nap of 20 minutes and not longer than that. Physical underwriting year at least once a week

The so-called sleep hygiene helps but does not change everything (as you would with insomnia or other things) you must take medication at the same time, try to be in bed at the same time, not too heavy dinner and in the no noise or room as the TV lights. Small things that can help to have fewer awakenings and waking more apt. Regards
